Wednesday 11 March 2026 Orchestra Unwrapped - Marlowe Theatre The children in KS2 had the most wonderful music experience attending the London Philharmonia Orchestra Unwrapped event at the Marlowe theatre Canterbury! Joining hundreds of other local children the children experienced 8 classical pieces. The children also created artwork for one of the pieces of music, the children had consider what orchestra's are going to look like in the future! They were delighted to see their creations on the big screen. A special piece of music was written for the event, I Am Music (We Travel Entwined) by E. Barden. The children sang and signed the BSL actions.

Tuesday 10 March 2026 Geography - What is the difference between human and physical geography? The children have been considering what makes our planet so wonderful? The children in partnerships sorted human and physical picture cards. Explaining the rationale behind their choices.

Tuesday 10 March 2026 KCSP Science Day - How strong is a back bone? The children in Giraffe Class joined in with 28 other year 3 and 4 classes in KCSP to explore the strength of back bones. They investigated and classified different animals depending on the type of back bone. The children then had time to explore how to strengthen the density of the bone structure. They reflected on how they could make their testing fairer considering the types of books.

Thursday 5 March 2026 Giraffe Class - World Book Day! The children in Giraffe class has the most wonderful time celebrating world book, coming to school as their favourite book and comic book characters! All the children looked fabulous. The children participated in a national online event, designed their own book marks and completed a world book day word search. They created their own books on the character that they have dressed up in. They then read their books to a child from another class in the afternoon.

Monday 2 March 2026 PHSCE: What makes me amazing? In our Ten:Ten PSHCE learning the children thought carefully about why they are so brilliant. They created a mini version of themselves using play dough. We learnt about how we have all been created in God's image and how our bodies are a gift. The children then reflected on their personal gifts and talents.

Tuesday 24 February 2026 London O2 - Young Voices 2026! As always it is the best night of the school year, celebrating our wonderful children and their amazing singing! The children represented the school so well, living out 'love life' from our school motto fantastically. The children performed with 8765 other children, singing a variety of songs from sea shanties to a disco melody.

Monday 23 February 2026 Music: What is graphic notation? The children responded to a piece of Viking music - thinking carefully how they can represent each layer or sound.

Monday 23 February 2026 D&T: How can I create packaging? In our D&T learning the children explored how to use 3D nets as a starting point to make food packaging. The children were able to make cross curricular links with their maths learning. The children then went onto create their own food packaging for their healthy snack.

Wednesday 11 February 2026 Yo Street Football Wow! What an experience! The children in Giraffe class had the best workshop with Yo street football. They learnt a sequence of football tricks and then battled each other in the arena! We were so impressed with their team work and positive praise of each other.

Thursday 8 January 2026 Marlowe Theatre - Panto! The children in KS2 had the most wonderful time at the Marlowe theatre! We went see watch Snow White and the 6 or 7 dwarfs! The children and staff laughed until our faces hurt, danced until our feet hurt and sang our hearts out! Until next year...
