Our Uniform
At St Joseph's we believe that school uniform helps to develop the sense of belonging and being part of our faith community.
It is the policy of the school that pupils should wear the correct uniform at all times, unless otherwise directed by the headteacher. All items of clothing should be marked with your child's name.

Forest School:
Forest School takes place outdoors in all weather conditions, so children need to come dressed appropriately for the season. We encourage children to explore, climb, investigate and get muddy, so please send them in comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
Children should wear:
- Long sleeves and long trousers to protect arms and legs
- Warm layers during colder weather
- Waterproof coat and waterproof trousers if possible
- Sturdy footwear such as wellington boots or old trainers
- A hat, gloves and scarf in winter
- Sun hat and sunscreen in warmer weather
The wearing of make-up, coloured nail varnish, jewellery and temporary tattoos are not permitted in school, except for one pair of stud earrings and a watch. These items should be removed or taped for PE lessons. Extreme haircuts, including dyed or streaked hair, mohicans or images/lines cut into the hair are not acceptable. These should be saved for the summer holidays.
For safety reasons we ask that longer hair should be tied back at all times.
