Lets explore the world

 In our 'Let's Explore the World' project, we will learn to use an atlas to find out about the world's continents. We will revisit the four cardinal compass points, and use a key to read a map. We will learn to locate the equator, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and the North and South Poles. We will learn that hot places are closer to the equator and cold areas are further away. We will learn the term temperate and identify areas of the world with a temperate climate. We will learn about the characteristics of the four countries in the United Kingdom and compare England to another country to find similarities and differences. 

Please ensure that you listen to your child read each day and record in their Reading Record. 

You will receive a login to  Times Tables Rockstars and Ed Shed daily. Logins for these platforms are stuck in to your child's reading record. If you cannot find these details please speak to Mrs Handford.

CLASS IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 **Please wear your PE kit to school on Monday and Thursday **

Please bring Reading Records to school every day.

Our  school day is 8.35am - 3.15pm

Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day. 

Please remember coats and label all coats, hats, gloves, scarves etc.

Please book school dinners online and in advance.
