Monday 23 March 2026 Easter egg hunt Maths enhancement The children enjoyed applying their maths skills with our Easter egg hunt game. I set it up by hiding the parts around our outside area and the children went off and identified matching the numeral to the amount.

Wednesday 18 March 2026 What are the signs of Spring? Using scientific equipment the children went outside and explored and identified the signs of Spring. They were able to recognise that in Spring new plants grow and it starts to get warmer.

Tuesday 17 March 2026 Water play 'Magic potions' enhancement To build on the children's story language we set up a Magic Potion water play area outside using, glitter, bubbles and fairy wands.

Monday 16 March 2026 What makes a healthy breakfast? We discussed what they like to eat for breakfast and what was healthy to eat as why it was important to eat breakfast. Bobby knew it was to give us energy and Ronnie said that it made us strong. We talked about the porridge that Goldilocks ate at the 3 bears cottage and how that was a healthy choice of breakfast.

Friday 13 March 2026 Mothers and Others afternoon We invited family members to join in with an afternoon of crafting and play to coincide with Mothering Sunday

Wednesday 11 March 2026 How are our seeds growing? The children have been watering the plants and observing closely if the plants are beginning to grow. Only 2 are showing signs of growth. The children have decided that they have 'over' watered them. They have also been placing them in different places to get more sunlight.

Tuesday 10 March 2026 World Book Day The children had a great day coming dressed as their favourite characters. Danny came as the 'child snatcher' from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Tuesday 10 March 2026 What do we need to help our runner bean grow? Jack has dropped some magic beans off to Sunbears. We discussed what they need to help them grow. The children explored planting their own beans in outside provision.
